Columbia Children's Theatre – For the kid in everyone!

We at Lexington Mommy LOVE the Columbia Children’s Theatre! Located in the Richland Mall in Forest Acres, CCT is a non-profit, professional theatre dedicated to bringing the finest in entertainment, education and opportunities to children and families throughout the Midlands. It is worth the drive!

All shows are appropriate for kids of all ages, featuring adult and professional actors on the main stage. This year’s season is jammed packed with hits the whole family will love! Kicking off the season next weekend is the story of Flat Stanley!

The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley comes from the beloved children’s book written by Jeff Brown. Come along and join Stanley as he transforms from a normal, run-of-the-mill ten-year-old into a flat, globe trotting, adventure seeking boy in this whirlwind musical travelogue! Classes and education programs offer instruction in everything from developing acting skill, to on-camera work and script development. Directions to Columbia Children’s Theatre

Located on the 2nd level of Richland Mall, 3400 Forest Drive–the corner of Beltline and Forest Dr. The theatre is located on the 2nd level above the food court on the end closest to Forest Dr.

The space is easily accessible from several mall entrances:

    • The ground floor entrance at S&S Cafeteria
    • The 2nd floor parking garage walkway…Park in level 2-L for easy access
    • The rooftop elevators or escalators near Regal Cinema
    • All parking is free.

From I-77: Exit 12, Forest Drive

From I-20: Take I-77 South, Exit 12, Forest Drive

From Downtown: Take Taylor Street east, it becomes Forest Drive. Richland Mall is located at the corner of Forest Drive and Beltline Blvd.

    We just moved to Lexington (from Orange, CA) and are excited to check out all the family-friendly events going on here!! I think my 3yo would LOVE the children’s theater!
