EdVenture
EdVenture is the souths largest childrens museum and offers fabulous interactive and
educational exhibits to inform and entertain kids. EdVentures impressive list of exhibits
includes 40-foot-tall EDDIE, The Worlds Largest Child, Bodyworks, Mission Imagination,
World of Work, The Great Outdoors, Cyberloft, Critter Garden, Aha Factory and My

Columbia Museum of Art
The Columbia Museum of Art has operated since 1950 in Columbia, South Carolina. The
downtown Columbia Museum of Art offers both art displays and public instruction
programs. Visitors to the Columbia Museum of Art can take part in lectures and gallery
talks to learn more when visiting the museum. Wonderfully suited for children, the magical
Secret Garden Orientation Gallery is the starting point of exploration for a specially

Lexington County Museum

This seven-acre property includes the John Fox House, which was built in 1832 and
displays with quilts, period furniture, textiles, etc. Outbuildings on the property include a
summer and winter dairy, a pigeon house, a privy, a sweet potato house and a loom
house. Also on the property are a c. 1771 Colonial cabin , a c. 1815 one-room school
house, a kitchen, a 19th-century garden, and a c. 1850 gin house. The museum offers 13
interactive programs for school children. These programs, which teach about the 18th and
19th centuries, feature period dressed docents and are hands-on. School groups (K-4

The Columbia Marionette Theatre
The Columbia Marionette Theatre is a local non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded over 25 years ago, aiming to entertain and educate children and adults through the long-standing tradition and artistry of puppetry. The theatre is open to the public and hosts daycare and school field trips any day of the week. Shows for the general public run Saturdays at 11AM and 3PM.
