Pop it in the oven in the morning. Enjoy a warm, filling breakfast with very little morning effort. It pairs well with cut fruit that you can also prepare the night before.

- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Bake at 350* F for 30-45 minutes or until bread is no longer soggy. Depending on the type of milk and bread used, it may need a few extra minutes
- If you used too much milk, your casserole may be a bit soggy on the bottom. If this happens, use a spatula to flip parts of the casserole over and bake for 10-15 more minutes.

Then all you have to do is pop it in the oven in the morning. One of the things I love about this recipe is you can play around with amounts of ingredients, baking times. No pressure to have everything perfectly exact. Ability to make a unique blend just right for your family's preferences.
Ingredients
- 1/2 loaf French bread
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 c milk
- 1/2 c brown sugar
- 1/2 c butter
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste (can substitute vanilla extract)
Instructions
- Cube French bread into 1-2” pieces.
- Heat butter and brown sugar on the stover over medium heat until melted.
- In separate bowl, combine eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla bean paste. Whisk until well blended.
- Grease pie or casserole dish. If you use a casserole dish, you can use and add more bread up to a whole loaf.
- Pour brown sugar and butter mixture into the pie or casserole dish.
- Place French bread in dish, topping the brown sugar and butter mixture.
- Pour milk, egg, cinnamon, vanilla mixture over the bread pieces.
- Toss it around some until every piece is fully coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Can be refrigerated overnight.
- Bake at 350* F for 30-45 minutes or until the bread is no longer sorry. The actual time may vary depending on type of milk and type of break used.
- If casserole seems soggy on bottom, flip parts with spatula and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
